Pregnancy Assistance

Are you having serious doubts about being able to care for your baby?

Desperate? Afraid? Hopeless?

If you feel you are incapable of caring for your baby, there are  “safe havens” throughout South Dakota where you can leave your baby and rest assured that your baby will be protected and cared for by professionals.

You can take your baby to someone at a hospital or medical facility, to a policeman or highway patrolman, to a fire station or to an emergency medical technician (EMT), to a nursing home, or to an adoption agency.  There will be no questions.  You don’t even have to leave your name.

The Baby Moses Bill was passed to prevent newborns from being abandoned or neglected.  South Dakota law states that if a baby with no signs of abuse or neglect is given to someone at a safe place, no criminal charges will be filed.

Do what is right for you and your baby.  No questions asked.  No criminal charges.
