Statewide Day of Prayer - May 4

During the 2019 Legislative Session, the House of Representatives passed House Resolution 1003, "Denouncing the recent passage of New York's abortion law and requesting that the Governor declare a day of prayer and fasting to atone for the unspeakable crime of abortion."

Governor Noem responded by declaring May 4th as a statewide day of prayer and fasting and has asked South Dakotans "to bow before the unseen Author of all life and beg mercy in atonement for our sins and the sins of our countrymen," with regard to abortion.
